Corcuera - "Historical sites are in Corcuera. These places give significance to the fight of our ancestors during World War II."
MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
BAYANI OR TAMARAW – This historical attraction is located at Barangay Vicente. This hill used to be a battleground during World War II.
SUBA BAY LAGOON – Located at San Roque and Mabini. A 28 hectare body of water the lies ensconced between barangay San Roque and Mabini providing magnificent view of serene waters.
GUINIWAGAN CAVE – Located at Mahaba. A dome-like structure abound with stalagmites and stalactites. There is also a pool of cool water where one can refresh after exploring the cave.
BOTON – Located in San Roque. A wide stretch of white beaches.
MANAHA BEACH COTTA TOWER – A wide stretch of white beaches.
COTTA TOWER – 150 meter hike from the town plaza. The remains of a Spanish fort constructed between 1860-1865 by San Agustin de Pedro toward off Muslim pirates. It is situated on a hill overlooking the town.
PANORAMA POINT – A point along the road where passing inter-island vessels can be viewed and serves as shelter during inclement weather.
GROTTO – Located at the peak of Mount Andradoon is a grotto of the Immaculate Concepcion where devotes usually go and pray during Lenten season.
LIS-ONG CAVE – Located in Colong-colong, it is a cave with plenty of stalactites and stalagmites.

PLANE TRIP FROM MANILA-TABLAS AIRPORT
This hilly Island is an hour away by pumpboat from Calatrava and one hour and half drive from the Tugdan provincial airport after an hour travel from Manila airport.
Effective February 2nd 2004, Flight DG605 of South East Asian Airlines will depart Manila Domestic Airport at exactly 1045 and ETA is 1145 in Tugdan airport in Alcantara, Tablas Island. From Tugdan airport, you can board a public transport jeepney (PUJ) via San Agustin. Travelling time is approximately one and half hour. The same plane, Flight DG606 flies back to Manila at exactly 1205 and ETA is 1305 in Manila Domestic Airport in Pasay City, in the afternoon of the same day. For those who take the leisurely 10-hour sea trip of MV Virgin Mary of MBRS Lines from Manila's Pier 8 to Odiongan port, which regularly departs every Monday and Friday at 5 PM, an hour jeepney ride through lush farmland brings you to Calatrava and 1 hour by pumpboat. Or take the Mary the Queen also of MBRS Lines at Pier 8 Manila, which departs every Wednesday at 5:00 PM. A 10 hours travel will take you directly to the port of Odiongan.

Take Montenegro Lines every Sunday and Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Public Utility jeep stationed in the Harbor terminal will bring you to Calatrava for one and half hour drive. Or take Princess Colleen every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 5:00 PM. An 8 hours travel will take you directly to the port of Odiongan. Or

The municipality of Corcuera is hemmed in by bodies of water from all sides on the north and east by the Sibuyan Sea; on the south by Tablas Strait and on the west by the sea that separates the municipality from Concepcion. It is located at 122046’ north latitude and 36 kilometers from the Capital of the proivince.
Corcuera has a total land area of 23.40 sq. km. Located directly north of Tablas; a hilly volcanic land with many hot springs; boulders of rocks are scattered all over the island; its highest peak is 2200 meters high.
