Though Philippines is blessed with thousand tropical islands, very few island-province could claim of being one of the favorite cruise destinations by foreign cruise lines. Romblon is an exception....and we Romblomanons truly welcome them all! The reason being, among many, is that the capital of Romblon, in the island of Romblon and in the province of Romblon is being considered by our visitors as the "Caribbean Island" of the Philippines. Houses hanging in the cliffs next to the harbor reminds one of being in Bermuda. Apart from the cruise liners, small to medium-sized racing yatch, sailing across the country almost always anchored in the capital, not only to experience the "Marble Capital of the Philippines" but also because of Romblomanon's legendary hospitality, not to mention the harbors natural protection from typhoons.
Sometine last April of 2001, one of Silver Wind's cruise ship visited the island of Romblon for a one day visit.
