MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
San Jose Island is a flat islet, which has the most beautiful beaches in the whole Romblon. Its beaches is covered with powdery fine white sands, have clear warm water with gradually sloping ocean floors. The transportation around the islet is limited to banca and horse.
TINAP-AN BEACH – Describe as powder-white sands, clear water, with views of cliffs and labyrinth of caves, its crystral clear seawater with vast amount of coral reef lying.
HAMBIL BEACH – Its crystallized-sand is God's blessing for this lovely island. It is about 500 meters, white sand beach that will surely amaze and give you a good relaxation.
NGIRITON CAVE – Looking for an adventure, Ngiriton cave is the place to be. It's a tunnel-like structure on top of the hill surrounded by a forest at Sitio Lindero. At the mouth of the cave is a white big rock. It was inhabited by thousands of bats where native can get a lot of manure use as fertilizers. Somehow only few bats survived nowadays but the cave still holds a mystery.
BUNAYAG CAVE – A unique formation of cave, the crystal clear water, comfortable for swimming is highly accommodating for picnic makes Bunayag cave unique and different from the others. This is a seven-minute boat ride away from Poblacion located at Sitio Sugod, Pinamitagan.
ANGAS CAVE – The icicle-like formations either hanging from the ceiling or protruding from the floors. These are regarded as heavenly creatures after comparing them to the actual characters and figures in the bible.
Must Try: San Jose offers tourist and sea explorers to delve into the sea by visiting some of their diving sites: Lanas slope, West Wall, Devils Boulder, Gentle Wall, Tunnel Dive, Cathedral Cave, Channel Dive, Cemetery Wall, Village Reef and Lobster Wall.
ECONOMIC PROFILE
The island economy is agricultural-based, with vast productive farmlands stretching from north to south. Coconut plantations are numerous, making the island one of the largest producers in the province. The economy also relies on other major industries such as fishing and quarrying.

Travelling to the island is not a problem, as the island possess an extensive network of land, sea and air transport that connects the island to other municipalities of the province and to the city of Manila. The most common way of going to one barangay to the other is by means of single motorbikes.

HOW TO GET THERE
MANILA-ODIONGAN-STA. FE-SAN JOSE
From Pier 8 Manila you can take MBRS Lines M/V Virgin Mary which leaves Manila every Monday and Friday at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. From Odiongan, a two hour trip will take you to Sat. Fe by a jeep. And from Sta. Fe, a two-hour trip will finally lead you to San Jose Island.
MANILA-KALIBO AKLAN AIRPORT-BORACAY-SAN JOSE
From Manila Domestic Airport you can take Fokker plane, which takes 40 minutes to Kalibo Aklan, a 30 minutes jeepney ride will take you to the port of Caticlan a 15 minutes by pumpboat will take you to Boracay Island and from there, again 15 minutes travel by pumpboat will bring you to San Jose town in Carabao Island. And from Sta. Fe, a two-trip will finally lead you to San Jose Island.
